Toromiro tree

Originally found on the remote Easter Island, Toromiro was difficult to grow in its native habitat in the 1800s due to deforestation. However, before the extinction of Toromiro, European botanists had recovered some seeds and brought them back to the greenhouse for cultivation. Although the Toromiro tree still exists on earth, it will never grow in the natural environment.
